The Colloredo-Mannsfeld family, from Italian roots to the Czech present day

We invite you to a lecture by historian and author Miloš Hořejš, which will take place on Friday, September 13, at 5 p.m. in the hall of the Opočno State Castle.
The Colloredo-Mannsfeld family played an important role in the history of the Habsburg Monarchy and the Czech lands. They excelled in the military, diplomacy, politics, and the spiritual sphere, and their name is inextricably linked to a number of important aristocratic residences, including Opočno. The lecture will offer not only a glimpse into the history of the family, but also a broader context of aristocratic culture in Central Europe.
The author will also present his new book Colloredo-Mannsfeldové – Nás zrodila ctnost (The Colloredo-Mannsfeld Family – We Were Born of Virtue). The lecture will be based on this publication and will give us an insight into the fate of the family.
In Czech only!
