"Italian and Neapolitan Painting"

Special guided tour of the Opočno Castle painting collection

Embark on a journey to discover masterpieces of Italian and Neapolitan painting as part of a special guided tour, which is not included in the regular visitor circuit. You can look forward to an extended commentary, a longer tour (approx. 50 minutes) and a unique opportunity to learn about the stories behind the paintings and their authors.

The collection of important painters was assembled at the end of the 19th century by Prince Josef II Colloredo-Mannsfeld, who brought selected works from other family residences to the castle in Opočno. The tour highlights not only the artistic value of the paintings on display, but also their historical background and contemporary context.
